Video Analytics

How the technology works

Everyday, human beings recognize an extraordinary number of new and familiar objects in various shapes, sizes, colors, and textures.
Taking traditional surveillance technology to the next level, i³'s VideoLogix software is a biometric security solution designed for use in a variety of applications.

VideoLogix utilizes state-of-the-art technology that allows the computer to closely mimic the recognition abilities of a human being. Its built-in Human/Object Recognition and Tracking System works in real time and offers a range of security solutions.

Security video recorder with Operations utility thru videoanalytics (VA) 'intelligence':

  • Shape recognition technology that 'recognizes' humans
  • People counter entering / exiting the store, directional
  • Shape recognition technology that can track missing objects
  • Dwell time; i.e. quantify the time people are standing in front of a given display
  • Canned' reports available standard in our hybrid units

Electronic Cash Register Interface (ECR I/F) Integrated to ASPECT 'data mining' s/w.

  • Generate customized reports within 1 -2 minutes based on ECR receipt data (i.e. no sales, voids, under $1 sales, etc)
  • Reports are then saved, easily available for regular use

Intertwine VA and ECR Data in customized reports or alarms

  • Conversion rates (people count and # of ECR transactions) per store
  • Void rung up at ECR with only 1 person present (human shape & ecr transaction)*

Easy to use interface for live mode and review / storage / 'burn image clip to DVD'

Quality components (i.e. video surveillance industrial hard drives)

CMS Integration:

  • Ensures all recorders/cameras are functioning within the store on a centralized, automated basis
  • Customized reports using video analytics data as an optional add on

For Operations, Other Business Groups

Traffic Counter: (door count)
Overhead cameras are mounted on the ceiling pointing down to the main entrances of the site. The capturing of people entering and exiting the site will provide the management the number of customer per day or hour. The stats give empirical data for management as to why the number of customers are less on one day than others. Is this increase or decrease in customer count number is due to a promotion, weather, holidays, or day of the week can be compare to other restaurant in a geographical area.

Drive Through:
Drive Through will provide manager of a fast-food restaurant the ability to quantify a measurable result from the time the vehicle stops at the front of the serving window to the time the vehicle gets serve. Using the traditional video, the computer can distinguish vehicle from others from the shape of the windshield which is mostly trapezoid. The data for the number of vehicle, the waiting time, and the average time of being serve can be simple distracted from the Internet. When drive through data is working in conjunction with cash register (s) accurate information can be generated for manager to determine if there is a link between a transaction and a drive through. Such information is important to determine if the drive through is legitimate or not. Besides, i³DVR has the capability to capture above drive-thru timing information by using Ground-Loop vehicle detection signal too.

Advantages of Videologix

Everyday, human beings recognize an extraordinary number of new and
familiar objects in various shapes, sizes, colors, and textures. What's more, we have the ability to recognize objects of different sizes and from different vantage points (front, side, and back). In fact, with little effort, we can even recognize objects that are partially obstructed from view.

  • Mimics and Exceeds Monitoring Capabilities of Human Security Guards
  • Improves Search and Playback Capabilities
  • Reduces CPU and Memory Usage
  • Reduces Number of Faulty Alarms

Region Count (service Timer):

Region Count is feature that will permit manager to measure the waiting from order to pick up. The process began from the moment of the customer line up in front of the first cash register to the time that he/she picks up. Working with the cash register and the image from video, stats can be generated for decision makers. Quantitative measurement provides valuable information for the managers to determine customer services and support by increasing or decrease staff in defined period of time. This tool can also be used for detecting "sweet-hearting" when combine with POS data.
